1-24-07 an extra something! topic-war

Please read. (also read the one below this. :) )

A cloudless night reveals a beautiful full moon. It is sort of eerie, but the soldiers ignore it. They are having a party, for tommorow some get to go home for the first time in one year! A young soldier at the age of 21 is very excited. He misses his wife and 2 kids. One of them was born since his last visit. He was so excited to be coming home!

The soldiers who are leaving are having a gigantic celebration. You can hear bottles opening, and the whole camp is filled with different sounds. The soldier talks to his buddy. "I can't wait to get out of here!" He smiled at the thought of being home.

A few minutes later the soldiers hears a noise. In seconds, the whole camp is dead silent.
The soldier can hear his heart beating a million beats per minute. He was horrified. His heart-beats were so loud, he wondered if the whole world could hear the "thump-thump"

Suddenly, the silence in the camp is broken by the sound of bombs in the distance. "Its getting closer." The soldier whispered. Suddenly, the soldiers see a nearby building go up in flames.

The soldier knows its over. He mumbles to himself "So this is what it feels like before death."He holds a picture of his new son and his wife and whispers "Im sorry..."

A few hours later, it is about 9:30 on the west coast. A young woman who looks about 20, wakes up. She fell asleep on the couch, watching TV and thinking of how her husband is coming home tomorrow. The phone rings. "hello....oh..." the woman hangs up and begins crying.

Awoken by the disturbance, a young girl who looks about 2 walks out of her room. She rubs her eyes and holds her favorite blanket, while she looks at her mom.
"mama?" the young girl yawns. "Whats wrong?"

The young woman hugs her young daughter. "daddy's not coming home..." her voice trails off.

"yes he is!" The girl laughs a little.

'Im sorry." said the mother. She clings to her daughter. "Im so sorry"
